Orange & Rosemary For a Fresh Sink

Orange & Rosemary For a Fresh Sink

Orange and rosemary for a fresh sink- at home remedy using essential oils.

Nothing smells worse than ages of food piled up and rotting in your disposal.

Here is an easy, eco-friendly remedy for freshening up the scent of your disposal, or even common trash can.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon orange or lemon essential oils (or ½ cup orange or lemon rinds)
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh or dried rosemary
  • White distilled vinegar
  • Ice cube tray

Directions:

  1. Cut the rinds along with the rosemary (or use with oils blending in a container)
  2. Place oils or fruit bits into ice cube tray
  3. Pour over vinegar
  4. Let mixture freeze

The next time foul aromas begin wafting from your sink or garbage receptacle, toss in a cube. If it happens to be your sink, turn on the water. Orange, lemon and lime peels are all natural antibacterial agents. They disinfect like common commercial cleaners. Vinegar also has cleaning properties.
